The MA-ZIK project includes a flexible set of furniture, tables and chairs.
This series’ most interesting technical feature is represented by the fact that the metal frame, which acts as a structure for all the objects, is completely concealed in the shelves.
Each piece is an design object because it’s easy to build and to use.
At the same time it is also an architecture object, because full of material, trace and color, and easy to compose in space.
Each object can be seen as the protagonist of its habitat, if played in a strong, colorful way.
Or it can be proposed as a complement, as a discreet and helpful object, purely functional, if used in a softer way, with more neutral colors and tones.
At a first sight, the materials are hard, very strong: roughly wrought and welded iron, laminated with full colors, thick fabrics and felts. These features soften as we enter into physical contact with objects: the paints are soft and transparent, the surfaces are also soft, almost embossed.
A small and handy stool completes the seats’ series.
